لاہور (پ ر) میڈیا لاجک پاکستان اور ٹی وی ریٹنگ کے عالمی ادارے کنٹار میڈیا نے پاکستان میں ریپڈ میٹر ٹیکنالوجی متعارف کروانے کے لئے ایک معاہدے پر دستخط کئے ہیں جس کے تحت میڈیا لاجک اور کنٹار میڈیا مل کر پاکستان میں ٹی وی چینلز اور ان کے پروگرامز وغیرہ کی ریٹنگ کے لئے جدید ٹیکنالوجی کو فروغ دیں گے۔ اس معاہدے کے تحت پاکستانی ناظرین کے ریٹنگ پینل کا دائرہ کار20شہروں تک بڑھا دیا جائے گا مزید یہ کہ1100 سے زائد گھروں میں میٹرز کی تنصیب بھی2014ء تک عمل میں لائی جائے گی۔ میڈیا لاجک کے سربراہ سلمان دانش نے اس حوالے سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے بتایا کہ انہیں اس امر کا یقین ہے کہ جدید ٹیکنالوجی کے تعارف اور شہروں و مبصرین میں اضافے سے میڈیا انڈسٹری کو بہتر اور حقیقت پسندانہ فیصلے کرنے میں مدد ملے گی اس بارے میں کنٹار میڈیا کے گلوبل کمرشل ڈائریکٹر کیلڈ نیلسن کا کہنا تھا کہ اس جدید ٹیکنالوجی کے تعارف سے اب پاکستان کے تمام ٹی وی چینلز کے بارے میں مستند، حقائق پر مبنی اور زیادہ بااعتماد معلومات میسر آ سکیں گی جو پاکستان کی میڈیا انڈسٹری کی ترقی میں ایک اہم پیشرفت ہوگی۔

TV AUDIENCE MEASUREMENT TECHNOLOGY IN PAKISTAN
16 December 2013 – Medialogic Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd, the national TV ratings provider has announced a
partnership with Kantar Media to enhance the TV audience measurement service in Pakistan.
Medialogic will deploy Kantar Media’s Rapid Meter technology, phasing out the current DFM (Direct Frequency
Measurement) technology supplied by GfK. First unveiled at the 2011 asi TV Symposium, the Rapid Meter
has been developed for emerging markets embracing futureproof measurement technology to cope with the
increasing number of digital channels. Viewing habits are collected through the meter and TV data is delivered
overnight using the built in modem and GPRS connectivity.
Medialogic introduced electronic overnight TV ratings data in Pakistan in 2007 with a panel covering three
cities which has gradually been expanded to nine cities and 675 households. Adopting Kantar Media’s Rapid
Meter enhances plans to expand the panel to over twenty cities and 1100 households across the nation from
2014.

Medialogic will begin to deploy the new technology alongside panel expansion plans scheduled to be
underway in early 2014.
